Council for Educational Travel, USA

CETUSA is dedicated to the mission of "reaching out to encourage a lifelong journey of global peace and understanding." We support this mission through the implementation of exchange programs for high school students - both American and international - and trainee and internship programs for university students/young professionals. This blog space is meant to continue the conversation on the value of education through experience - more specifically the experience of study abroad. There will be guest blogs here as well as announcements of resources for students, parents and teachers to learn more about study abroad and the global perspective.

CETUSA loves our oceans!

Posted in CETUSA News, and Trainee/Internship

September 19, 2015 was the 30th anniversary of the International Coastal Cleanup, and CETUSA was out in full force!  Participants in the CETUSA Trainee and Internship programs in Chicago, LA, Miami, NYC, and San Francisco joined clean up efforts on the coasts,  Some met new friends, some participated with host companies, and some enjoyed a treat afterwards, but they all had an impact and showed the power of volunteering.  Thank you to Katsumasa (Japan), Shoko (Japan), Qiaosi (China), Yuri (Japan), Mirang (S. Korea), Gyeonghwi (S. Korea), Jigyu (S. Korea), Motoaki (Japan), and Qing (China) who participated in our NYC cleanup; Akira (Japan), Jiwon (Korea), and Hayoung (S. Korea) in LA; Manri (South Africa) in San Francisco, Djalma (Brazil) in Chicago; Tal (Israel) and Noemia (Brazil) in Miami, and to our CETUSA representatives Olivia (LA) and Danielle (NYC).  We thank you, and our oceans thank you!
